Geda is a yummy khichdi originates from Bengaluru. if you are sick and doesn't like to eat anything else just make the Geda and eat it is a healthy dish also easy to make. Normally Geda is made as a soft version but you can make it as your choice.
so lets start making Geda
Prepare time 30 min
Cook time 5 to 7 min
Serving for 3 to 4
Ingredients :
1/4 cup rice
1/4 cup Split green gram (moong daal )
1 Onion
1tbsp Oil
1 Tomato
Handfull curry leaves
1 Green chilly
Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
Salt 1tsp or as per taste
Tumeric pwdr 1tsp
Boiled chicken pieces (optional )
Water 1 glass
Coriander leaves for garnishing
How to make :
1. soak the rice and daal for 30 min.
2. Heat oil add onion cook for 2 min.
3. add tomato chopped and curry leaves in it.
4. add a glass of water in it, let it boil the water.
5. When water is start boiling add soaked rice and daal in it . close the cooker lid take 2 whistles then switch off the gas flame.
6. It's done take out in a bowl.
7. Garnish the Geda with coriander leaves and serve hot.
