Chicken Takatak Recipe

Chicken Takatak is very delicious and lip smacking Recipe. On the day of our wedding anniversary, my husband and I went to the hotel to have dinner. There he ordered his favorite dish called Chicken Takatak. It was a very tasty dish. Had fun eating. My husband gave me the task to make it at home in exactly the same way. I made this dish at home,You will not believe that this dish has been very tasty ,as we ate. My husband liked it very much.
My husband is happy then I am also happy.

Cooking time : 30 min 
Total time : 35 min 
Serving for : 4 to 5 

Ingredients : 

Boneless Chicken - 1/2 kg 
Onion - 3 big 
Tomato - 4 big 
Cashew and almonds - 8 to 10 
Butter - 3 tbsp
Oil - 3 tbsp  
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp 

Dried Garam Masala:

Kashmiri red chilly powder ( mild ) - 1/2  tbsp 
Hommade chilly powder - 1 tbsp 
Salt - 1/2 tbsp or as per taste 
Roasted Kasuri methi - 2 tbsp 
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp 
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp 

Other Ingredients : 

Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp 
Water - as required 
Grated Cheese - for garnishing 
Coal -1 for smoky flavour 

How to make : 

1. Sliced the onions , in pan add oil add sliced onion in it fry it till light brown in colour. 

2. Boil the boneless chicken then shred it , keep aside.

3. When onion is light brown in colour add chopped tomatoes, almonds and cashew fry it till tomatoes become soft . Keep aside let it cool down completely, then grind it till soft paste is ready. 

4. In pan add butter with 1 tbsp of oil , add ginger garlic paste in it fry it well . 

5. After that add grinded paste mix well add salt , chilly powders mix well cook for 10 min on medium flame. 

6. In other pan add some butter with some oil . When butter is melt, add shredded Chicken fry for 2 to 3 min on medium flame. 

7. Untill then add fried shredded chicken in curry pan mix well . 

8. After that add Kasuri methi , Garam Masala powder, cardamom powder mix well , close lid and cook for 5 min . Now add tomato ketchup mix well add water as required and  cook for 2 min , then switch off the flame . 

9. Heat coal , keep it in plate , keep plate on curry pan add some oil or butter in it . When smoke is coming out, close lid for 10 to 15 min . 

10. Open lid remove coal plate. Mix well curry, and close lid till serve. 

Serve Chicken Takatak with Chapati , Parotha and Naan.
